Terms of service
Last updated: kept in sync with what the app actually does.
What Anchorly is and isn't
Anchorly is a support companion for people navigating anxious, avoidant, and fearful-avoidant attachment patterns, many of whom also have ADHD. It is not therapy, not a medical device, and not a diagnostic tool. Nothing in the app, including the attachment self-reflection result, Sage’s responses, or the reframe tool’s output, is a clinical assessment or a substitute for professional mental health care. If you’re in crisis, use the crisis resources in the app (reachable from the icon in the top bar at all times, with no account or payment required) or contact your local emergency services.
Who can use Anchorly
You must be at least 16 years old to create an Anchorly account. Regulate tools and crisis resources don’t require an account and have no age gate, since they should never be harder to reach than necessary.
Your account
Creating an account is optional. Regulate tools and crisis resources work without one. An account is what saves your check-ins and lets you talk with Sage (the AI companion) and use the reframe tool. Some features need Anchorly Plus, described below. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; see the privacy policy for what that does and how quickly.
Anchorly Plus (subscription)
Anchorly Plus is an optional paid subscription at €60 a year, billed once a year. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial, and you won’t be charged if you cancel before it ends. Plus adds grounding, movement and the pause timer, Learn, the Program, People, My Patterns, Draft & pause and check-in times, and replaces the free plan’s 3 messages a day with a larger daily and monthly allowance for Sage and the reframe tool.
Crisis resources, breathing, the attachment self-reflection, and Sage’s support after you tap “I’m spiraling” or “I’m shutting down” are free for everyone and never count toward a limit.
Payment is processed by Stripe; Anchorly never receives your full card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings, which links to Stripe’s own billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn’t refund the current year unless the law where you live requires it.
Acceptable use
Use Anchorly for yourself, as intended. Don’t use it to harass, monitor, or surveil another person. What you add about people in your life is your own record of your experience: use nicknames, leave out their contact details and anything that identifies them, and you are responsible for what you choose to write there. Don’t attempt to circumvent the crisis-detection layer, the safety-tier access rules, or the encryption. Don’t scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell access to the service.
No warranty, use at your own risk
Anchorly is provided as-is. Sage and the reframe tool are AI-assisted and can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally unavailable. The app is built so the rest of it (Regulate tools, crisis resources, Learn library) keeps working even when the AI backend doesn’t respond, but we can’t guarantee the AI-assisted features are always accurate or available. The crisis-detection layer is a deterministic keyword-based safety net, not a substitute for professional crisis intervention, and it can miss things, such as distress described indirectly or in words it doesn’t know. Always reach out to real crisis resources or emergency services if you’re in danger, regardless of what the app does or doesn’t flag.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Anchorly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of the acceptable-use section above, or if legally required to.
Changes to these terms
Anchorly is a young, actively-developed product, built to be available wherever you are rather than restricted to one place or legal system. That also means these terms may need to evolve as we do. If a change affects you materially, we’ll tell you in the app, not just update this page silently.
